This workshop offers an engaging introduction to the world of honeybees and the life of the hive. Participants will explore the structure of a honeybee colony, the roles of the queen, workers, and drones, and how bees create and use their remarkable medicines such as honey, beeswax, and propolis.
The workshop also includes a look at the history of honeybees, the diversity of honeybee species around the world, and their relationship with humans across cultures and time. Participants will be introduced to different approaches to beekeeping, including various hive styles and philosophies of care, with an emphasis on respectful, sustainable, and bee-centered practices.
This offering is designed to build understanding, curiosity, and appreciation for honeybees and their essential role in the health of ecosystems.
